I have now started! I have numerous fat quarters being dyed with procion dyes in jars. Hopefully one of them will be just the right colour for me to develop. Otherwise some over-dyeing will be needed tomorrow. I am a real novice at dyeing so this really is a lottery. I can now start to record my efforts it that lovely book that I bought in WH Smith's a long time ago. It was called 'spice' and had containers with various dye pigments on the cover.
I love the colours on the book cover, looking forward to seeing what you come up with. I'm sorry that your Dad is having such a bad time,hope all goes well tomorrow. I'll see you on Tuesday fingers and everything else crossed.
ReplyDeleteditto. fab book. look forward to seeing your results with the dying, I tend to think they are better when you re-dye the pieces any way, it gives them more depth, and dont forget if they are really awful you can always spray bleach on them xx
