Quilting in RRC

I have finally quilted my fabric from the round robin challenge. The initial inspiration was from Europe, so I used the euro symbol in various sizes for quilting. I quilted them in gold metallic and quilted the background in royal and sky blue to follow Nickie's theme of light and dark.I followed lines in the fabric to quilt the background as it was easier than free machine embroidery. I am really enjoying using my darning food, but need LOTS more practice.

Photo quality not good and the smaller euro symbols in the lighter area dont show up.

Back of quilt to show the quilting more easily. I used Yvonne Brown's method and quilted the symbols from the back using a tracing onto lightweight vilene.

Yesterday, I bought some more fabric, so that I can develop the tile work I started at Yvonne Browns workshop. I want to change the shape of the orginal wall hanging and add some additional tiles using mixed media. Photos to follow.
