Last week at my Ladybug Quilters group we were supposed to be stitching together a jelly roll to make a quilt top. However, only a few had joined their jelly roll together and a few others were waiting until they had visited the Chilford Quilt show in Cambridge last weekend, as they need to purchase theirs. So the project was delayed until our next meeting. As I will be on holiday, I stitched mine together last week. The record time is 35 min, I took 1.5 hours, so I was obviously talking too much. The idea of the quilt is to make a top quickly and easily and without any planning of the fabrics. When I stitched all of my fabrics together, I just made sure that I didn't place the same colour or pattern together. But when you stitch the top together, you have no control over the pattern, placing lots of similar fabric together. The overall effect of my quilt top is nice and simple machine quilting will complete it easily ( a project for Belstead next month)

Tag Tuesday "March Hare," using a stamp enclosed in this months Craft Stamper magazine. Very basic, which isn't quite the purpose of this challenge. I am supposed to be pushing myself with new techniques and to be using all the media I have purchased over the year. (Note to self, try harder next time!)
I am going skiing on Saturday to Saalbach, Austria. This always means a time to have a clean up at home and to make sure all the washing and ironing are up to date. No matter how often my washing machine is on, the basket still seems to be full. Is it just my boys or do other people find that they get a mountain of washing on a daily basis? Dread to think what I will come back to!
I think 1.5 hours is awesome - mine took 3, and I wasn't talking...tee hee - Love the jelly roll you chose!
