The theme for this months page has been influenced by the fact that I am going on two holidays this month. First of all, I painted the pages with a thick layer of gesso to add some texture, then I used Inktense blocks to colour the pages. The pages were then stitched into using perle thread and I cut out my journal blocks in the shape of shells. The lettering for May, were purchased pre-cut letters that I painted with acrylic paint. My first holiday starts today, I am off to the Maldives with my husband for my 50th birthday. My daughter is then taking me to Abu Dhabi later in the month, how lucky am I. I wont be taking my journal with me, instead I will be using the note facility on my iPhone to record my entries.
