Dyeing fabric

I had a fantastic time dyeing an assortment of fabrics in graduated shades of green last night with Nickie ,at my Adult Education class in Hutton. My fabrics have been rinsed, washed and are now drying. Nickie, said it would happen and I have really got the bug! Carried out a dyeing workshop with my Year 11 GCSE Textile students today, who are developing their practical design ideas, in preparation of making their products. Well I was a star and I couldn't believe how interested they were. Quite a few are off to Craft Arena to get some Procion dyes of their own. Thank you Nickie!!!

Tomorrow I am on a workshop with Basildon EG and Heidi Jenkins. I have already made a small circular box ready for the workshop (instructions given by Heidi) and hopefully will learn how to decorate and assemble the box tomorrow. Heidi has previously attended our guild and was not only extremely interesting but had a vast arrange of wonderful work to inspire us. Photos of my work to follow.
