Dyeing fabric

Last Saturday I attended a dyeing workshop with my patchwork group Ladybugs. A fun day was had by all and we all ended up with approx 30 fat quarters of dyed fabric. I learnt a lot through this exercise and cannot wait to dye some more fabric. Next time I want to add some black to get more muted colours.
Today I started to make a wall hanging using some of the fabric. I have chosen the theme of gingko leaves and using methods covered in The Painted Quilt by the Kemshalls. Finally I will be using all those essential items purchased from Art van Go and having some more fun playing.

  1. They are really beautiful colours, it's a shame to cut them up, but the wall hanging is going to be lovely.
