Calendar Challenge April

Slightly later than planned, but here is April's page for my journal. The inspiration came from the fact that Spring in now here, with all the fresh green growth around, plus the daisy is the birth flower of this month. Memories of life as a child making daisy chains whilst sitting on the lawn, I don't expect many children would find than a pleasant pass time now. I have a very busy month, so choosing what to include in my journal will be difficult.

Just to prove that I did complete March's page! Love the notes icon on my iPhone for recording events whilst I was away on holiday. No need to take the whole journal with me.

  1. Wonderful pages and a great idea to use daisies - I know they're supposed to be weeds but I think they're so pretty x

  5. Pretty pretty daisies, Diane! I used to love making daisy chains. They would take forever to make and then they would break so easily but that didn't seem to matter did it?

Your completed March pages look fab :o)

  16. These are such beautiful and cheerful pages! I love the daisies. Little girls still love to sit in the field and pick flowers. On the hill behind my home, the ground is covered in forget-me-nots and purple penstemon. I watched the little girl who lives in the house behind me stroll across the lawn with a basket. She sat down right in the middle of the flowers and started gathering them to put in her basket. I was mesmerized watching her. I was surprised too, because I didn't think they did that sort of thing anymore either! Have a great week! Hugs, Terri

  19. As a school teacher I notice that quite a lot of my children still like making daisy chains - they bring them in for me after lunch break (but they don't last long in our hot classroom!)
Love your calendar pages. April looks so fresh and spring like.
